  • What makes you different from other counsellors?
Unlike many counsellors, I will also provide advice and guidance. Clients who have experienced counselling with myself have appreciated my honesty and feedback, delivered with warmth and kindness. You may be looking for this style of counselling too, especially if you are seeking an outside perspective with an unbiased view.
  • What models of therapy do you work in?
My core model of therapy is person-centred, however I will also integrate other models into the practice where appropriate, as well as other skills and techniques that are relevant for your journey.
  • What is your background?
I have a background of working with depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, abusive behaviour, substance use, learning difficulties and vulnerable adults, as well as offending behaviour to name a few. I have worked closely with charities and agencies alike, including directly with police, probation, and social care, and services related to housing and support. I have supported clients through difficulties that can arise from children being on a child protection plan/ child in need, as well as clients who are themselves or no somebody who is going through a variety of aspects of the criminal justice system.
  • How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes, what is referred to as a therapeutic hour. However, if you would like shorter or longer sessions, then this can be arranged.
  • What format of counselling do you offer?
I am able to provide counselling via face to face, video call, phone and live chat. For face to face options this will depend on where you live, the desired location for counselling, and the cost.
